Dr. Norma Ebolie LeVeque, collector of all of these materials, was a biology professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Earl M. LeVeque was her brother. William B. LeVeque was their father. All three were heavily involved in mining operations at the Richmond lode and other mines in the Gold Hill Mining District of Boulder County, Colo., ca. 1905-1963. Margaret Read was the first woman architect in Boulder. She was born in Iowa, spent her childhood in Missouri, and moved to Boulder with her family in 1910.
